Ingenious invention at the right time
The company originated in one of the districts of Regensburg Reinhausen. Since its inception in 1868, the company produced a sawmill equipment. Andreas Shoybek in 1901 renamed the company to Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR). Engineer Dr. Bernhard Jansen invented in 1926 by a switching device such as a resistor, with the help of which you change the transformation ratio under load. In collaboration with the brothers Oscar and Richard Shoybek product became known and has been recognized worldwide as the "OLTC REINHAUSEN". At the end of the second World War, the demand for the tap-changer has increased dramatically. In 1953, Oscar and Richard Shoybek allowed to operate a modern factory, which in later years has steadily expanded.
